Graffiti/Murals/Signage fascinates me; always has. I have tripped over some of the most awesome art in the most unlikely places you can imagine. The talent shown by many of these 'taggers' and mural artists is beyond the ordinary. The vibrancy of color, the detail, the imagination these stealthy artisans render impresses me every time. I liken today's graffiti to ancient pictographs - all of it communicates a story.

What makes me happy is being able to record some of the work I find before it gets painted over by the next artiste. What saddens me is that sometimes absolutely beautiful artistry often finds itself covered over by something not quite as stunning. Because of the fleeting, ephemeral nature of this type of work I try always to record it whenever and wherever it's discovered, remembering that it may not exist tomorrow.

With that in mind realize that almost every single image in this gallery exists no more. Such is life, eh?
